A little late, because I forgot to post this earlier Day 4: I painted more of the shirt and the background and started to paint the first part of the pants. Day 5: I finish painting the pants, painted more of the background, my hand an foot, blending elements into the dark background shadow. I just realized that i had forgotten to post the progress from my home project, so this is for days 1-3 Day 1: I took quite a few reference photos, and eventually decided on the one I wanted to use as well as did my scaling for the photo to make transferring it more easy, though I planned on doing quite a bit of free drawing. Day 2: I did my sketch and started painting the arm(though the process photo is just after I started painting for day 3 so it has a bit more paint than I had on day 2) Day 3: I had a slow start and didn't get much done, but still made some progress on the shirt. Set designers, more specifically set designers for tv and movies have responsibilities such as reading scripts, produce plans, drawing and models for sets. They also work to prepare cost estimates for sets, manage budgets, as well as screen outdoor locations for filming, and attend filming as well as plan, meet with, and commission set construction companies. While there are many different degrees and credentials that are possible for this job, candidates are preferred to have degrees in theater, creative studies, preforming arts, visual or fine arts, graphic design, architecture or landscape design. Set designers might have an internship or be mentored by an experienced professional before they enter the industry in order to get experience and build a portfolio. College majors such as set design and theater are often best for this type of job and universities such as California Institute of the arts and Carnegie Melon University have well known programs.
Since I forgot to post the one from last week I combined it with the once from my painting week. |
