I found the symposium quite interesting as it was quite helpful to learn about art school, even though I do not think that I would want to attend an art school, even though I am interesting in continuing to study art in college, I do not think that I would go to an art school as like one of the presenters I would want to focus more on another subject area, although I did find it interesting that one of the students at the arts college was able to research some many other topics inside of his art study. It was interesting that the arts colleges had a variations in how much they allowed the students to skip course levels, with one student from MICA was allowed to skip to advanced drawing courses, but some of the other students had to do a lot of art courses not really related to their majors. I did like how the arts colleges were able to offer a wide range of resources and space in order to work on pieces, however I think that studying art at a non art college would still give me similar resources and I do not think that I would want to have to have my major in art, but instead have another area of study as my major and maybe have a minor in art. I think that I might be slightly better suited for a non arts college, but I might still consider an arts college as there seem to be quite a few benefits that the arts colleges are able to offer if I were to change my mind in the future about what I would want to study and will want to look more into the art and non art colleges as I get closer the time when I would be able to apply to them.
